Applicants for power must sign a Utility Easement prior to construction of power lines on their property. A Utility Easement gives North East Power the right to enter upon the land owned by the applicant and the right to construct, reconstruct, rephase, repair, operate and maintain the power line or lines located on the applicant’s property. Additionally, it gives North East Power the right to cut, trim and control the growth by chemical means, machinery or otherwise, of trees and shrubbery located within distances specified on the easement. The easement also allows attachment of other systems such as telephone, fiber, and cable tv to North East’s poles.
A Utility Easement is required in all cases and for all applicants.
