Safety is always the top priority at North East Power, and our linemen work hard to stay prepared for any situation they may face in the field. As part of that commitment, our crews recently completed their annual pole top rescue training. This exercise simulates an emergency where a fellow lineman becomes incapacitated while working on a pole. Each participant must climb, secure, and safely lower the individual to the ground—all within minutes. While we hope our linemen never have to perform this rescue in a real-life situation, this training ensures they have the skills and confidence to act quickly if the need arises. Their dedication to safety not only protects one another, but also the members and communities we proudly serve every day.
