North East Power will only deal with vegetation near service lines if it is considered a hazard to primary lines, equipment, or structures. If you are unsure about a tree near a service line, call our office and request a site visit. We will assess the situation. If action is required, we will address it. If we find it is not something we consider a hazard to our primary lines and the landowner would still like the tree to be cut or trimmed, they may set up a time for us to de-energize or drop the service line for them to have the tree cut or trimmed at their own expense.
