COVID-19 Information & Updates

As the country works through the COVID-19 pandemic, we just want to reassure our members that they are our main concern. We are working through potential scenarios around our normal business practices, but no matter what, we will be able to serve you. We will keep health and safety uppermost in our plans while continuing to provide “Great Service”. Disconnects Resume

Please remember that all electric bills are still due to avoid disconnect!

If you are a Prepay Member and have a past due balance, in order to avoid an interruption in service, please call our office at 662-234-6331!  We will allow those Prepay members to put the past due amount on debt management once you establish a $50 credit!

For members other than prepay, please call our office at 662-234-6331 to determine what options you have available as well! 

If you have experienced an economic hardship due to COVID, we want to work with you to ease the burden!

Temporary Suspension of Disconnects Will End May 14th

The 60-day temporary suspension of disconnects will end May 14th. If you have experienced an economic hardship due to Covid-19, please call our office to discuss your arrangement options. While any past due amounts will remain due, the arrangements are our effort to ease the burden for our members over time. Please don’t forget your current bill needs to be paid by the due date. Give us a call at 662-234-6331 to decide if an arrangement works best for you. Additionally, our state is receiving funds to programs which aid in paying utility bills for emergency situations. Members are encouraged to apply with state agencies such as LIFT, Inc. as soon as possible.

Ways to Connect, Transfer and Disconnect Service while the Lobby is Closed

For Existing Location

Need to connect electricity and not moving from another location we serve.
Application This is not for New Construction Service.

Currently have a NEMEPA electric account and moving to a location we serve or need to disconnect your electric service. Transfer/Disconnect

Then you can make your payment online or call our office at 662-234-6331.

For New Construction Locations

If you are needing New Construction Service, please follow the directions below.

Step 1. Call Engineering Office (662)-238-3160 Someone will answer your call or leave a message and we will promptly return your phone call.

Step 2. Engineering CSR will email an application for power. Customer will fill out application EXCEPT FOR SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER! CSR will also inform the customer of any additional paperwork that is needed to complete the job.

Step 3. Email application back to Engineering CSR

Step 4. Engineering CSR will call back and obtain social security number to complete application.

Step 5. Staking Engineer will visit site, design service, and determine if there is any Aid to Construction.

Step 6. CSR will call customer back to inform them of the job status.

In accordance with the CDC’s recommendation for social distancing, we want to remind you of alternative ways to pay your bill without coming to our office. We will remain open but encourage you to choose another option to pay as the health of our members and employees is our top priority.

You can pay through our member portal on our website, mobile app or pay by text. Currently, due to construction we don’t have a drive-thru, but we do have a drop box outside the office. You can also call us at 662-234-6331 and make a payment over the phone.

You can apply for power, transfer and disconnect your electric service from our web page as well. Thank you for your understanding.

We value the health of every one of our employees and members. For everyone’s safety, if you are coughing or sick, even if you believe it’s just allergies, please refrain from coming to the office.


The national Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH) continue to closely monitor the outbreak of respiratory illnesses caused by the novel (new) coronavirus COVID-19, and are working to limit the spread of cases nationally and in Mississippi.
